General Pay Increase

The Commonwealth is working on agreements with the unions representing state employees to expedite scheduled pay increases to improve retention of our workforce and enhance recruitment of new employees.  

We are pleased to announce that the FOSCEP Local 2382 president, Tina Weaver, has signed the side letter to our current contract regarding these changes.

A summary of the changes applicable is below and reflects the increases for union covered employees.

2.5% General Pay Increase (GPI) effective Oct. 1, 2022.

2.5% General Pay Increase (GPI) effective August 13, 2022.

Longevity Step Increment effective first pay period in Jan. 2023 or one-time cash payment for employees at the top of their pay scale.

Longevity Step Increment* effective August 13, 2022 or one-time cash payment for employees at the top of their pay scale.

N/A

$200 one-time cash payment effective Aug. 13, 2022.

*The continuous employment eligibility requirement is waived for this longevity increment. 

The Governor’s Office is working diligently to implement these pay increases; however, please note that while the increases will be effective August 13, 2022, they may not be reflected in your pay until a later date.  Please keep an eye on your paystub for the September 9, 2022, pay date. For those on a different pay date, you may only see one week of increase versus a full pay of two weeks.
